This is how the general manager of Chesterfield Golf Club, Sean Boyle, built a swing studio that deepened member engagement and opened a new revenue stream – without touching existing capital.

At Chesterfield Golf Club, the member experience remains a central priority. Recognising the importance of providing modern, flexible training facilities, general manager Sean Boyle led the development of an indoor swing studio to enhance the club’s year-round offering. The facility is designed to support golfers of all abilities while introducing additional services that add value for both members and the club.

In collaboration with Golf Studio Design, the club created a state-of-the-art studio incorporating the latest performance technology, high-speed video analysis and realistic simulators. These tools facilitate personalised coaching, detailed swing analysis, and custom club fitting. Funding was provided by Golf Finance through a structured solution that enabled investment in the facility without impacting existing capital resources, ensuring financial flexibility throughout the project.

The studio has rapidly become a focal point for member engagement, offering a high-quality indoor environment for practice, coaching, and virtual golf.

It also provides the club’s coaching team with a professional setting for lessons and fittings, driving increased participation and service revenue. This investment has enhanced the overall member offering while establishing a new revenue stream for Chesterfield Golf Club.

“We wanted to create a facility that genuinely added value for our members, and we’ve achieved that. The swing studio provides year-round flexibility and new opportunities to engage golfers, while also making a meaningful contribution to the club’s business performance. The funding set up by Golf Finance allowed us to spread the cost of the installation in a stable and sustainable manner,” said Sean Boyle.
