Over £2m of golf stock stolen from Worldwide Golf Brands warehouse in Manchester

·

More than £2 million in stock has been stolen from a Worldwide Golf Brands warehouse in Manchester – and the company would like the golf industry to help by looking out for produce.

Items which were stolen this weekend include included four containers worth of MacGregor package sets that had been recently delivered.

The company is calling for the help of the golf industry to notify the police if they’re offered certain merchandise in the forthcoming days.

“We’re asking anyone in the golf industry who is offered any MacGregor package sets, or anything from Stuburt, Oscar Jacobson or BIG MAX, from an unexpected or new source, to contact us or the police,” said Worldwide Golf Brands managing director Graeme Stevens.

“The quantity of product that has been taken is devastating, but it cannot just disappear. These goods will show up somewhere, so if anyone sees or hears of any unusual activity in the trade, we would be incredibly grateful for any information.”

Items across the Worldwide Golf Brands range to be on the lookout for include MacGregor package sets, MacGregor travel covers, Stuburt and Oscar Jacobson SS25 ranges, and BIG MAX golf bags.

Anyone with any information can contact the team at WWGB on 0161 886 4010 or contact Greater Manchester Police by calling 101.
