Golf club supplier Eagle is recruiting for a sales area manager in the south east of England.
The role is to engage directly with clients (golf courses, golf clubs, other golf organisations and other clients who could benefit from Eagle products) with the primary focus to introduce and to sell Eagle products. A sales area manager is the face of the company when it comes to daily client interactions. To achieve success, the role requires an understanding of the golf market and the ability to target client relationships using proven methods in order to develop and generate sales. There will also be the requirement to refer sales to its sister company Tacit and to pass any sales leads to the Tacit sales staff.
Key qualifications and skills
A proven track record in business sales or related markets.
A knowledge of the south east of England market would be an advantage but not essential.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting.
Strong IT skills – Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel; knowledge of Sage is desirable.
Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Technical skills required to understand the range of products.
Ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner.
Administration skills include recording information from client meetings, producing quotations and customer orders, designing briefs and producing activity lists for future sales appointments / meetings.
Ability to multitask.
A professional appearance.
Maintaining a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction.
Full, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities
Research and understand client accounts – that is organisations and individuals – in target markets, pursue sales leads and engage with existing, established clients as well as look to attract and secure new clients.
This will involve maintaining relationships with current clients and identify new prospects within the area you have been assigned.
Engage with clients by phone, email or in person and set up meetings in order to present Eagle products with the intention being to secure sales orders.
Build relationships with clients, established on professionalism, trust and respect.
Understand the golf market and which strategies and tactics can be used to attract clients.
Understand the needs of customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these needs.
Attend client meetings, company meetings and attend industry events.
Possess a strong understanding of our products and services, our competition in the industry and understand the market positioning of Eagle.
Develop accurate quotes and proposals for clients.
Collaborate with the design team to ensure that client orders and requirements are met.
Follow the latest industry developments and stay up-to-date on our competitors.
