Frilford Heath Golf Club, Oxfordshire’s renowned 54-hole Championship Golf Estate, has completed a transformative £1.5 million investment across its clubhouse and trio of championship-standard courses.

This comprehensive upgrade was aimed to strengthen the club’s status as one of England’s premier destinations for golf, business, and leisure — offering year-round, tournament-quality conditions in a setting that blends tradition with modern comfort.

Russell Stebbings, managing director of Frilford Heath Golf Club — which recently hosted Open Regional Qualifying — said: “This latest investment reflects our long-term vision to deliver a truly unique offering in English golf. We are proud to be a 54-hole heathland golf estate where quality, sustainability and hospitality go hand in hand. Whether you’re here to play, learn, relax or do business, we’ve created an environment that delivers on every level for members, guests and visitors.”

At the centre of the investment is a redesigned clubhouse, now featuring a new, high-spec, 18-seat boardroom. This professional-grade facility caters to business meetings, strategy sessions, and client-facing events. Available for external bookings, it includes air-conditioning, integrated flatscreen presentation tools, in-room refreshments, and support from the club’s expert food and beverage team.

The new boardroom reinforces Frilford Heath’s position as a destination “where business meets pleasure,” offering an environment that seamlessly blends productivity with recreation, set within 450 acres of protected natural beauty.

Frilford Heath has also completed major course enhancements across its Red, Green, and Blue layouts to ensure peak playing standards:
- Every bunker across the 450-acre estate has been completely renovated, improving visual appeal and playing experience.
- The Red Course now features a cutting-edge TORO irrigation system, controllable via app, allowing precise, sustainable water usage. Both the Red and Blue courses now benefit from these advanced systems.
- Additional drainage work is planned for the Blue Course, further supporting year-round turf health and consistency.
Supporting these upgrades is Frilford Heath’s own on-site reservoir, part of a broader commitment to environmental responsibility and efficient resource use.
