A poll by YouGov has found that playing golf is seen by the public as the second most middle class activity people can do out of 12 that were selected.
Only owning shares was seen as more middle class.

The pollster picked a range of activities and asked people if they thought they were more working class or middle class.
Six were seen as more middle class – eating foreign food, going on holiday abroad, visiting a museum, hosting a dinner party, playing golf and owning shares.

While six were seen as more working class – watching television, living in the north, attending a football match, drinking in the pub, reading a red-top newspaper and being a member of a union.
