A Kent golf club has introduced an innovative marketing hook – golfers receive a free round if it is their birthday.
In exchange for the round at Stoneless Golf Centre, the golfer only has to provide contact information and answer a few online questions, such as if his or her company has golf outings.
Golfers can choose which of the three nine-hole courses to play on and when, provided it is the same month as their birthday.
The deal has been so well received that it has been discussed on ‘best deals’ websites.
The author of ‘oldmanlesliesblog’ wrote: ‘Found on the back of HUKD, a golf course in Kent is offering a free round of nine holes during your birthday month.
‘No good, if like me, your birthday is not in a fair weather month!’
