Global golf venue developer Cabot has announced Cabot Wilds, a new 2,500-acre golf resort destination coming to the rolling hills of Cumberland County, Nova Scotia in late 2027.
The project has been developed in partnership with Canadian businessman John Bragg and his family, founders of Oxford Frozen Foods, the world’s largest wild blueberry farming operation. Cabot, already a cornerstone of Nova Scotia’s golf and hospitality scene through Cabot Cape Breton, will draw on that experience to develop and manage the new site.

Nestled in the foothills of the Cobequid Mountains, Cabot Wilds is located in Collingwood Corner, just outside Oxford — known as the “wild blueberry capital of Canada.” Designed to celebrate inland Nova Scotia through world-class golf, thoughtful planning by community master planner Hart Howerton, and an authentic connection to place, the all-season resort will feature an 18-hole golf course designed by Jeff Mingay, alongside a clubhouse, dining venues, a recreation pavilion, racquet sports facilities and residential real estate. Guests will also be able to explore the surrounding maple forests, wild blueberry fields and the salmon-rich River Philip.

The riverfront 18-hole course has been designed by Toronto-based architect Jeff Mingay, whose portfolio includes several leading courses across Canada and the US, as well as the restoration of historic layouts. The layout will traverse rugged highlands and tree-lined valleys alongside the River Philip, taking advantage of the natural topography of the river valley for panoramic views across the site. As with all Cabot properties, Cabot Wilds will be enrolled in Audubon International’s Platinum Signature Sanctuary certification programme, placing conservation at the centre of the project.
