A Durham golf club has secured £400,000 in funding to invest in the club, provide new services to its community and strengthen its financial position.
The funding will enable Beamish Park Golf Club to improve its facilities and infrastructure while improving and reorganising historic borrowing to ease short and medium-term cashflow pressures.

This includes the refurbishment of Beamish Lodge into visitor accommodation, improvements to the on-site shop and the development of the club’s mobile home and visitor parking.
By investing in its infrastructure and services, Beamish Park Golf Club is aiming to grow its contribution to the local economy, create jobs, boost local supply chains and increase the amount spent by tourists visiting the region.

Phil Dobson, treasurer at Beamish Park Golf Club, said: “This funding is a real step forward for the club. It allows us to invest in the areas that will generate new income and improve the experience for our members and visitors, while also simplifying and restructuring our existing borrowing.”
“The support from UMi Get Funding was invaluable. Dave took the time to fully understand our situation and guided us through the options, ensuring we ended up with a solution that genuinely works for the club both now and in the future.”

The club received tailored advice from the UMi Get Funding Team, while the £400,000 flexible facility was provided by peer-to-peer lender FOLK2FOLK.
