Select Group, a Dubai-headquartered international group, has acquired Old Thorns Hotel & Resort, a golf venue in Hampshire.
A spokesman for the group said that this was a strategic acquisition that marks a key milestone in its broader ambition to expand its footprint in the UK’s leisure and hospitality sector. The group is also further strengthening its position in the premium golf resort segment.
Occupying 317 acres in one of Hampshire’s most affluent and picturesque landscapes, Old Thorns Hotel & Resort is a landmark destination that combines natural beauty with premium fitness and wellness amenities.
The estate features an 18-hole championship golf course, 150 hotel rooms, 51 executive hotel apartments, a comprehensive events and conference centre, and a well-established food and beverage offering. Renowned for its charm and warm hospitality, the resort has long attracted visitors from the United Kingdom and beyond.
Old Thorns has cultivated a strong legacy and loyal customer base.
The transaction was concluded following a carefully managed and complex legal process.
