A 14-year-old single cask Linkwood, created between Falkland Golf Club and whisky bottler Saltire Rare Malt, has sold out.
Crafted to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Falkland Golf Club’s clubhouse, this exclusive bottling was limited to just 60 bottles, available only to club members and select guests. Priced at £80, the release was met with overwhelming demand and sold out almost instantly, underscoring the rising popularity of small-batch, story-rich Scotch whisky.

To ensure more members can savour this unique dram, the Falkland Golf Club bar is now offering it by the glass—available while stocks last.

Distilled in 2011 and bottled at a robust 54.1 percent ABV, this Speyside single malt delivers a bold yet elegant profile, featuring notes of strawberry candies, cigar boxes, sugar-coated oranges, and a whisper of cotton candy — a fitting tribute to both Falkland’s golfing legacy and the nuanced art of single cask whisky.

“We knew the moment we tasted the cask that it was something truly special,” said Keith Rennie, founder and director of Saltire Rare Malt. “The support and enthusiasm from the Falkland community has been incredible. We love partnering with passionate sports clubs—locally and beyond—and we’d be thrilled to collaborate on more bespoke bottlings in the future.”
This comes just a few days after Prince’s Golf Club’s bespoke gin won a global award and Ben Lomond Scottish Gin announced the launch of its Open Special Edition 2025.
